Years after the official end of wars and conflicts lasting more than 6 years, violence remains widespread throughout Iraq, sexual assault on women and children continues to escalate, and more than a third of the population lacks access. For basic health care. Millions of men, women and children have been internally displaced as a result of the war, with the constant threat of violence. Our War-Affected Women Livelihoods Project supports these displaced populations in various ways. In the picture here, you can see displaced women in Mosul Governorate, Iraq. These women have tragically been victims of various forms of gender-based violence. The project looks into teaching women crafts in safe spaces.
