The Bothoor Alkhayr Relief and Development Organization works to study, develop and implement development projects with the aim of providing job opportunities for needy families and contributing, and to turn the wheel of economic development in the liberated areas through small project and early recovery programmes, and the gradual transition of society from relief and consumption to development and production.

Economic Empowerment Livelihood Program

The Economic Empowerment Program seeks to provide direct support to people to increase income and living standards. It is a multidimensional social process that helps people control their lives. It is a practice that relies on authority in societies for the mutual benefit of individuals. It empowers and supports people to reach their goals by providing training, curriculum and opportunities

Empowering individuals economically through capacity building programs in small businesses, vocational training and ultimately incubation. As well as linking individuals to job opportunities or supporting them in establishing their own projects, contributing to strengthening the capabilities of displaced people and refugees, and building cohesion between host communities and local communities.

Program history

The first project of economic empowerment programs was implemented in 2017. It consists of providing vocational training in the field of carpentry, cash for work and tailoring and was implemented in Mosul and Diyala Carpentry is a craft trade and as a result of this training more than 1,300 people were qualified and assisted.
