Saleh Al-Abdi, 55 years old, from Al-Talaa village in Al-Azim district, has eight children. Mamdouh and his family faced harsh conditions due to the war. After the relative stability of the situation and the return of the families, Mamdouh returned to the village to find his land barren and lifeless, so he was forced to leave it without cultivation because he was unable to bear the costs of reclaiming it. He resorted to working with his daughters on his neighbors’ lands in exchange for financial wages that would help him survive. Finally, Mamdouh found a chance to return to cultivating his land through the wheat cultivation support project implemented by the Seeds of Goodness Organization with the support of FAO International. Following the guidance from the agricultural team within the project, Saleh expressed great pleasure and was optimistic that cultivating his land would enable him this year to stop working for people and improve his financial situation better.
